‘The Zenons’ is an indie-rock project by Scottish songwriter Kal Turnbull. After not having much luck when it comes to finding permanent band members, Kal decided to start releasing music anyway. The debut EP ‘Vacant Seat’ is the first instalment of this plan, which was self-recorded in a farm-based studio (previously used to isolate sick horses), and will soon be followed by the second.

While no track was designated as “the single” from Vacant Seat, Patroniser was chosen by Janice Forsyth as her “Single of the Week” on BBC Radio Scotland, for which Kal was interviewed on air. The EP has also received airplay from Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio, and garnered more than 100,000 listens over the first couple of months through Spotify’s Discover Weekly.
